Mama Chari

March 13, 2010

Being a foreigner in Japan, sometimes has it’s perks. Unfortunately right now I don’t feel like that. So I decided to post something that made me happy. I had the opportunity to perform with a local band called, Kaguratei. Kaguratei is a three piece group consisting of Kenji, on lead guitar, Yu, on percussion, and Chikara as the lead vocalist. I had a wonderful time performing my own original song called, Mama Chari.

A mama chari is considered a grandma bike. It usually has a large basket in the front and sometimes in the back. When the weather is decent, meaning, not raining, I ride back and forth to work on my trusty stead. It’s only 45 minutes and I get to escape the confined coffin that is public transportation.

Enjoy!
